It didn't take long for first year Head Coach Bob Johnson to make his mark on the Tri-Valley football program, with the Titans bouncing back from a 1-7 season in 2014 to finish with a 6-2 mark during the 2015 campaign.

At the 1AD2 ranks in Idaho the ability to run the football is paramount. For the last few seasons Andrew Schneidewind has helped patrol the backfield. Following his graduation, a key focus area will be to find someone to step into the lead fullback role.

The Titans look to have a couple of good options to make it a seamless transition with Collin Kindall and Hayden Kuta in the mix.

That duo will be joined by running back Blake Vogel and returning sophomore quarterback Jayden Mink, who received plenty of experience during his freshman season.

For an offensive unit that put up over 30 points in all but two games last year, the pieces are all in place for a repeat effort.

"[Strengths include] an experienced offensive line and depth at running back," said Johnson, who employs an I-Formation offense.

Defensively the two-way players from the offensive line will help man the front, creating a group that should be able to improve in run defense.

[We've got] good size up front and experience in the secondary," added Johnson.

One of the key cogs on both lines will again be Corvin Fayne, a 6'3" 230 pounder who earned All-League defensive lineman honors last season.

Something which could turn out to be a major benefit for Tri-Valley is the opportunity to host both Salmon River and Council, the only two schools the Titans lost to last season, which kept the Titans from reaching the state playoffs.

Tri-Valley gets 2016 underway by hosting two home games, with Horseshoe Bend coming to town on September 2 and Idaho City on September 9.
