Mountain Home did not win a single game last season. In fact, they have only won two games in the last five years.
The Tigers have struggled mightily to score points. Last season, they were shutout in four games, three of which came in consecutive weeks and scored a season-high of 12 points against Jerome in week four.

New head coach Jim Clark is just the latest coach to join the Mountain Home coaching carousel, as he is the team’s fourth head coach since last August.

He is tasked with turning around a Mountain Home program that has lost its way.

In 2008, the Tigers fell in the state semi-finals to Hillcrest 49-43. Clark’s goal is to eventually get the Tigers back into contention and playing relevant football games late into the season, something Tiger fans haven’t seen in what seems like a lifetime.

Joining Clark on the coaching staff will be, Bob Livesay, who will coach the running backs and linebackers. Mitch Prouty will be in charge of the receivers and defensive backs while Daniel Martin will manage the big nasties in the trenches.

Michael Campbell will return for his senior season and with it, a completely restructured offensive line.

Chris Wright will return at running back and it will be up to that new offensive line to provide running lanes for the senior.

The primary focus of the offense will be discipline while an area of to improve will be turnovers and sustaining drives.

The goal of Clark’s defense will be to play aggressive, yet still maintain discipline.

It is the dawn of a new era in Mountain Home.

Under Clark’s leadership, there will be no excuses. The culture and attitude will be changed and Mountain Home will no longer be a penciled in win for opposing teams.
